Whilst the documentary or reportage approach is my primary focus, I like to balance this with a few sprinkles of creativity here and there, for effortless relaxed portraits with beautiful light, encouraging you to be yourselves for the most authentic photos possible. It's a subtle approach that allows me to give you the very best of both worlds on the day.
I'm based in Dorset in South West England, however I will work nationally and internationally, I am always happy to travel to work with couples who connect with my style of photography.
Since 2001, back in the days of film! Shooting on film was the best way to learn and truly understand photography, as the craft had to be learned before pressing the shutter, rather than reviewing images on a screen afterwards to see if you got the shot. I am a big fan of the convenience of digital today however. In this time, I've shot hundreds of weddings, so many I've lost count!
Primarily documentary, with a subtle blend of creativity, placing couples in great positions rather than poses, and allowing them to be themselves. My style revolves around the core pillars of great light and composition and anticipating moments, making the most of what makes each location so special for each couple.
Bespoke coverage starts at £1100 for smaller elopement style weddings, with all day coverage from £2350.
I like to come and meet you! It's much easier to talk about your plans in the comfort of your own home, however if you live a fair way away, then I'm happy to arrange video calls. I always like to meet couples face to face before the wedding, as building that relationship that allow me to understand who you are as a couple to successfully photograph the day is so important.
