Although I live in Cornwall, I love to travel and will go you are. I am a husband and father to two girls and can say that since having kids, I can barely get through a father of the bride speech without a little tear in my eye thinking about when I may get to do one for my girls! I am really privileged to be invited into my clients families most intimate moments and I make sure I capture all the emotion of their day.
I am located in Newquay, Cornwall in the South West of England. Travel is included in my price for weddings in Cornwall. A small fee to a charged for weddings further afield, price dictated by distance and whether or not accomodation would be required. I have photographed 45 weddings in my first two years of business, and probably another 5 as a second shooter before I started my business.
My main package is full day coverage, usually 12 hours or so, with images delivered via an online gallery. I include a pre-wedding shoot (anywhere in Cornwall) with all full day bookings as I really believe they make for better images on the day. Prices for full day start from £1800 dependant on day of the week and time of year.
I am based in Newquay and love to meet prospective clients in person where possible, ideally with a cup of coffee! But if not, I insist on speaking to all couples via zoom beforehand, to make sure we are a good fit for one another.
I am completely self taught in photography, having started out in wildlife photography! Then kids came along and so I had less time to spend sitting in fields capturing wildlife and wanted to get images of my children. From here I developed a live of capturing people and giving them amazing memories and the rest is history!
I do believe that continuous development is important and so I regularly attend workshops to learn and improve on my existing skills, the last being an off camera flash workshop. I also am involved in styled shoots and editorial work to get the creative juices flowing. I have recently won the contemporary photographer 2023 award from the South West Wedding Awards and am a regional finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards 2024. I have had my wedding work published in several magazines including weddings and honeymoons magazine.
I guess that I am aware that it is difficult narrowing down a wedding photographer from the tens of thousands out there. You are spending a lot of money and you want to make the right choice. I am very proud of the reviews left by clients who feel they made a great decision in hiring me and that is shown by how many I keep in regular contact with long after the wedding day.
Away from photography, I have two young daughters and a wife, who all keep me busy, I love the outdoors and sea swimming and cold water dipping!
