Contact Sharon Reiley

Above all else, I want you to delight in every moment of your wedding. I want you to laugh, I want you to cry. I want you to take it all in. I want the photographs I create for you to remind you of the joy and love you felt at your wedding, surrounded by the people you care about most. I want to freeze this moment in time for you, so that you can keep it forever and enjoy the memories any time you want. My approach towards wedding photography is to unobtrusively capture real moments as they naturally unfold to tell your wedding story in the most meaningful way possible. This is your day, not mine, and I want to you to savor it. My focus is on capturing people, their connectedness and genuine emotions. My hope is that the photographs I make for you allow you to remember exactly how your wedding felt so that you can share it with generations to come.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

Serving Boston, Providence, Newport, Cape Cod and beyond. Weddings outside of this area that requiring travel or overnight lodging could incur a travel fee to cover these expenses.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I began photographing families and babies in 2006, and I photographed my first wedding in 2009. I accept a limited number of weddings each year. To date, I have photographed approximately 150 weddings, in addition to many families and other events.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

For the most part, I like to capture real moments of the wedding day in a documentary, photojournalistic style - but I also believe family portraits and candid group photos are an incredibly important part of the wedding gallery. I also want to include a good selection of portraits of the wedding couple because they ultimately will come to represent everything about the wedding. I want these portraits to be beautiful and artistic, yet still feel candid and real, reflecting the personalities and connection of the couple.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

I offer a range of packages, from unlimited full-day coverage to intimate elopements that start at just 3 hours of coverage. I would love to help you figure out what package would work best to suit your needs.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I currently work from home, but I have found that video calls (Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts, Facetime, etc.) work very well for many couples. I'm also open to meeting for coffee if you are nearby.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I have a BFA in Visual Design - Digital Imaging from UMass Dartmouth and I studied Digital Photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. I am also an alumni of the Foundation Workshop, which is an intense program that teaches wedding photographers the skills and ethics of photojournalism.
