Contact Dagmara Bojenko

I approach every photoshoot with a desire to create a connection between myself and my subject, which goes beyond the image itself. Photography is an experience, not just a final product. I realize how intimate it is to point your camera at someone and ask them to be themselves, so my approach is to always leave something of myself in my interaction with my subjects. I compare my photography to a couple's dance, where both parties need to open up, trust and share of themselves in order to create beauty.
Growing up in a Polish household in French Canada allowed me to quickly learn and adapt to new surroundings, as well as be able to read people's expressions before even understanding their language. To this day, connecting to people in that way drives me in my work and knowing that I can lay their emotions onto a photo is the ultimate gift.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I have a degree in Photography and Digital Imaging from Concordia University (Canada). I also have a certificate in documentary photography and iconography from the Estienne school in Paris. I have taken part in many workshops on wedding photography in France, Germany and Italy.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I approach every wedding as a love story that I want to know and love, so getting to know you is essential in my work!
