O'Hara Photography consider ourselves to be wedding day storytellers. In 2009 we were considered more traditional wedding photographers, but we soon realised we loved to capture all the moments in between to give a true narrative. Our aim is to capture the day in an unscripted and unposed way, so that families and couples can relive the moments.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am based in East Yorkshire in the UK. I travel throughout the county of Yorkshire and I don't charge a travel fee.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

My first wedding was back in 2009. Since then I have photographed close to 60 weddings, with 2020 my biggest year with 40 weddings booked.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style is documentary or reportage. I love nothing more than a couple to view their gallery and tell me I captured the story of their day, unposed and unscripted.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I attended college and studied photography. I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society, This Is Reportage and WPJA. I recently graduated from the Two Mann Deconstructed workshop.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

When I am not photographing weddings, events or even sports I love nothing more than to photograph my family, especially my eight year old son who is autistic and visually impaired. Despite the problems he faces he loves life to the full, he is my biggest inspiration in life.
