Stephen Walker Photography creates editorial and documentary wedding images for couples seeking natural, cinematic photography at luxury venues. Based in the UK, Ste shoots across the UK, Italy and France, from English country houses and London hotels to Lake Como villas, Tuscan estates and Provençal châteaux. His approach puts couples at ease, resulting in images that feel real, emotional and beautifully crafted. Investment from £3,000.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm based in Liverpool in the UK, but I photograph weddings all over the UK and abroad. I regularly shoot destination weddings in Italy, France and across Europe, including venues on Lake Como, in Tuscany, on the Amalfi Coast, in Provence and along the French Riviera. Travel is included within many of my packages, and I'm always happy to discuss destination weddings wherever you're getting married.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've been photographing weddings for almost 10 years and have shot hundreds of weddings as the lead photographer. Over that time I've worked at venues ranging from intimate countryside manor houses to large luxury estate weddings in the UK, and destination weddings across Italy and France. That experience means I'm calm, adaptable and prepared for whatever the day brings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style sits between editorial and documentary, relaxed and natural, but with a cinematic quality that makes the images feel considered rather than snapped. I focus on capturing the real atmosphere of the day as it actually felt: the quiet moments, the big emotions, the details couples didn't even notice happening. I'm not interested in stiff poses or forced smiles. I want your wedding photos to feel like you — just the best, most honest version of it.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Most couples book me for full day coverage, which usually means I'm with you from morning preparations through to the dancefloor. That gives me the time and space to tell the full story of your day properly. Packages for UK weddings start from £4,000, and destination wedding packages for Italy and France are available from £4,500 including travel. I keep my packages straightforward get in touch and I'll send over everything you need.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I don't work from a traditional studio. Most couples find a video call is the easiest and most relaxed way to chat through plans, especially when life is busy. If you'd prefer to meet in person I'm happy to arrange that too, I'm based in Liverpool but travel regularly so can often work around you.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

My experience has come from almost a decade of photographing real weddings, refining my approach and learning continuously through the industry itself. I'm a member of Fearless Photographers, one of the most respected international communities for documentary wedding photography. I'm also the founder of a photography education platform, which means I think deeply about craft, storytelling and what makes a wedding image genuinely great rather than just technically correct.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

A lot of my couples tell me they're awkward in front of a camera, or that they don't want their wedding to feel like a photoshoot, and that's exactly where I do my best work. Making people feel at ease is as much a part of what I do as the photography itself. The couples who tend to connect with my work are the ones who care about having beautiful, real images but would rather forget I'm there than spend the day being directed. If that sounds like you, we're probably a good fit.
