I got my start filming weddings in 2010, and that background shaped everything about how I shoot. Spending years behind a video camera taught me to read a room, to watch for what's actually happening rather than constructing it. When I made the switch to photography, I brought all of that with me.

I'm not working from a shot list. I'm following the day, watching for the moments that actually matter, the ones that happen between the planned ones. The quiet glance before the ceremony. The friend who drove six hours and can't hold it together during the speeches. The way the room shifts when the first dance starts.

My work is documentary and story-driven. I care about the connection between people, the specific details that make a relationship what it is, and the unrepeatable thing that happens when two people choose each other and pull everyone they love into the same room to witness it.

I think that's one of the wildest, most human things you can do. And I never get tired of being in the room when it happens.
