My husband Joel and I work hand in hand (or camera in camera) creating what Black and Gold Photography has become today. Working as two main shooters maximizes our creativity and time on your wedding day. We never use the same lens as each other or go for the same angle. We are essentially giving you two different shots for every moment.

Our ultimate goal is to get you guys the best shots that we can. And we have the best time doing it!

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

We are located Winnipeg, Manitoba. Travel fees are dependant on locations outside of Manitoba.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

We have been in business for over 8 years and have shot 100's of weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

We are "plandid". We plan things to make them look candid ;) We love real moments and during morning prep and reception time we are a fly on the wall. During the day we are guiding you through what may feel awkward at first but we'll get you to the real laughs and tears.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

About 90% of our clients will choose our 10 hour coverage for $3400.00

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

We use Skype or FaceTime or we can meet in person for drinks or coffee.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I have a BA in design. I've taken some basic photography classes and a wedding photography workshop in Iceland but for the most part I am self-taught with over 8 years of real life experience.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I will do my best to get you the best wedding photos that I can. On your wedding day the weather, lack of time, and real life day of occurrences that come up are all part of the job but getting you memories that will last forever is what I'm here for.
