Hi, My name is Sagarneel Biswas. I got married to my beautiful wife in 2010. I did not hire any photographer to cover my wedding and let my friends click the pictures. I got only poorly taken images from my wedding. It was one of the many worst decisions I took in my life. I was always fascinated by fine arts, I was trained in painting and was doing creative projects on multiple medium. Basically, my right brain was right. Post my marriage, I decided to be a wedding photographer. With my one of my college friends Newton, I started a photography company name Photographians in end of 2011. I shot a music video that was aired on MTV in 2012 and got 7 nominations in India's biggest wedding photography contest, Wedding Photographers of the Year, including a runners up in wedding short film making in 2018.

Today after shooting love stories of many wonderful couples, seeing their families from such close distance, I feel I am really blessed to be a part of their families and experience the wedding from my heart, I love observing all the small details of the rituals, understanding the core values of the families. I am a strong believer powerful ,authentic moments, and real emotions. Sometime it is so subtle, and some time it is extremely dramatic. I feel it is like well made movie. It is very important for me to understand the relationships, the family, friends and of course you (the couple). After all it's your day, you are the star of the wedding. I do not want to distract you in the process, I want you to be in the moment, experience the every bit of your most important day with your friends and families. I want to laugh with you, I want to cry with you, like a friend I want to be there with you. To me nothing real, nothing authentic is ever perfect and that is exactly what is so appealing and alluring. Like any piece of art, my work is like a comma and not a full stop. My work is perfectly imperfect, just like you.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I stay in Bangalore with my lovely wife and my little daughter. I am from Kolkata (yes, I am a Bengali) and I often visit over there either to meet my parents or to shoot. I travel across places to cover weddings and I love it. For outstations, my clients bear the travel cost.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I have been shooting wedding since 2011, under my brand (Photographians).

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I grown up following the Magnum and National Geographic photographers. My photography style is heavily influenced by documentary photography and street photography. With my picture I seek the "how" over "what". I focus on capturing the real moments and emotions. Overall I want the couples to enjoy their wedding day, in the complete process of my photography.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My typical wedding package is 12 hours of photographic coverage by myself along with an equally talented second photographer. I always include a beautiful handcrafted wedding album of 40 pages and share carefully chosen and edited high resolution images in the secured cloud and an online gallery of same images for showcasing and sharing with friends and family. The cost of my service starts from 1400 USD (~1Lakh Indian Rupees).

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

I always prefer to meet you in my home. I do have studio set up at my home. It is always easy to share my story, show my work, show you different albums, giving you some ideas, brew some tea and of course learn all about you and the wedding! If that is not possible, I am very happy to meet you over Skype.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I am an Electronics Engineer. I have been working in software as a technical architect. I learnt photography from multiple workshops, and reading tons of photo books. I do have good collection of books that really helped me to find my photographic voice.
