It's more than just the photograph you take; it's about the image you make. The artistry begins with the push of a button and continues in the editing suite when a photograph is turned into a work of art. I love big, grandiose shots with purposeful lighting that conveys an appreciation, respect and understanding of the love that brought two people together on their wedding day. I am blessed to share my passion with the love of my life and that makes what I do that much more meaningful.

I've been a photographer for 15 years. A few years ago, I found my soul mate and we started working together. Sharing a passion for photography and video production, we joined forces to create Clean Slate Digital Media. We operate our wedding photography component under "Wedding Photography by Heather & Rob". We've never looked back and working together is amazing. We love working with couples who place a lot of importance on their wedding photographs. They understand the art of the craft and appreciate the work we do in a way that makes doing it that much more rewarding.

We truly love what we do, and think it shows in everything we do. We hope you agree.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

We're just outside Baltimore, Maryland. We don't charge additional fees for weddings outside the Baltimore area, though we may ask to be put "on the list" for any special rates you work out at hotels in conjunction with your wedding. We pay our own travel expenses.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

Clean Slate was started in 2014; prior to that I had my own studio for 15 years. My best guess is that I've photographed at least 200 weddings. I'm not keeping count. I remember almost all of them!

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I bounce around; I can shoot photojournalistic, but that's primarily Heather's domain. I love using artificial light (flash) to create scenes - to create a new reality. I love the grand shots - the sunset dips, the bride silhouettes. For me, it's not just about taking a picture; it's taking that picture and then creating a work of art in the editing bay.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Starting in 2021, we started offering one-photogrpaher packages with just me as the photographer for just $1,500 while our packages with both my wife and I start at $3,000. 2020 was a big game changer for the wedding industry and changing times mean changing needs for our brides & grooms.

We provide free engagement sessions with every package and we offer a 10% discount for educators, nursing professionals, social workers, first responders, and military personnel!

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

We work from home. We can certainly use Skype and have before, but whenever possible we love to meet people in person. We'll take you to dinner or meet up at Panera or Starbucks. We really like to get a feel for the couples we work with. We're not the most expensive photographers in town, but we're not bargain basement shooters; the couples who choose us are those who place a lot of importance on their wedding photos. They understand that it is an art and they want artists. People who "just need someone to take pictures" just want cheap. People who want beautiful wedding photos understand that it's important to LIKE your photographers. We're a part of your family for your wedding day and it's important we get along as people first and foremost; being photographer and client will be easy if we like each other.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I am very hilarious. I like dinosaurs. A lot. Maybe too much. Heather and I are getting married in November 2016 and my wedding band is made of dinosaur bone and meteorite. I also like SciFi and have written several novels.

Don't even get me started on how awesome The Walking Dead is...
