Hi I'm Karen, a documentary style wedding photographer based just outside London.
What to say about weddings?....For me it's all about people. The two of you, how much you love each other and all your family and friends surrounding you and celebrating this next chapter of your lives. There are so many stories to tell throughout a wedding day and no two weddings are the same so my aim is to create natural, authentic images that find joy and emotion in spontaneous moments - moments that will mean more as time passes and become a keepsake for your family.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am located in Thames Ditton near Kingston Upon Thames on the Surrey / London border. I include travel for up to a hundred miles from Thames Ditton.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I have been shooting weddings for about six years and photographed the weddings of eighty five loved up couples.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I photograph weddings in a documentary style. I work with the flow of a wedding to capture moments as they happen, and people's interactions and emotions as the day unfolds. Although I aim to be unobtrusive and not direct the day I love getting to meet people and have a warm friendly approach to your wedding guests and have been known to move the odd plastic bag out of shot.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My most popular wedding collection is from bridal getting ready until the party gets going in the evening. This is usually about 8 hours and all fully edited images are presented on a usb for £1500.

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

We can meet in my home studio, Skype or go out for a coffee or something stronger.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I have a BA Hons degree in Fine Art and a PGCE as I was a teacher before becoming a full time wedding photographer. As part of my degree I developed and printed my own images but my main skill was in print making - etching and silk screen printing.
I am a member of The Guild of Photographers and SWPP.
In the last few years I have attended workshops by the very best wedding photographers, Jonas Peterson, Ross Harvey, Alan Law and most recently the Nine Dots Gathering.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I love to travel and have back packed around the world - one of the best things I have ever done. There is nothing better to give myself a fresh perspective on life than to see new places. The other best things are my 3 gorgeous boys, my very kind supportive husband, not to forget our adorable scatty flatty retriever Millie.
