When I was a child, my mother, a true artist, took a lot of photos of us. Artistic, beautiful, sensitive photos that captured emotion, light, and love. I never thought about it when I was a kid. It was just what my mom did. But as an adult, I now realize the power of those photos to bring back memories.

Memories of people, times, and emotions that may no longer exist. It dug up those emotions and reminded me of a simpler time, of simple loves and hates, of ambitions and accomplishments.

This is why I take photos. I take photos to remind people. To show them, in beautiful, artistic style, the love they have on this day. The way he makes you smile. The look on her face when you pledged your love forever.

That's why I take photos.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am located in Los Angeles California. I'm a native of Idaho, however, and travel there frequently for weddings. Travel fees are determined on a case-by-case basis (i.e. if I'm going there anyway there's not travel fee, or if it's a gold package wedding, for example).

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've been a photographer since 2014, and I shot my first wedding in 2016.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I take a photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. I would rather you ignore me and I catch authentic feeling rather than getting something perfect, but very staged. My editing style is more true to life and fine art. I love delicate details and emphasizing natural beauty and colors.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My typical wedding package is around $2,000. It includes 8 hours of coverage, plus all the standard things, plus a print release and access to EVERY photo I took that day (the bad and the good) if you want them.

1 Recommendation

When we connected with Mercy for wedding photos, my husband and I looked at her portfolio and were amazed. We knew we wanted that quality of photography, but worried it may not be in our budget. It turned out her prices were reasonable, and our wedding photos were phenomenal. They captured the lightness of the day, the commitment of our vows, and the support we received on our special day. We loved working with Mercy. So much so, she also photographed our family photos, our newborn baby photos, and our professional head shots. She also designed all the wedding invitations, and then later, our Read More baby and graduation announcements. It's fair to say she's been witness to our growing family - from the day we said, "I do," to two new babies, to finally graduating from college. It's because of who she is - warm, compassionate, highly skilled, and genuine - that we love working with her. I'd recommend Mercy for any photography session without hesitation.
