I am a Mexican-American documentary wedding photographer, working with a team of LGBT/women-of-color associate photographers. We want to capture you and your loved ones as you really are. No bullshit, just real moments. I seek out those who are turned off by the Wedding Industrial Complex; people who want to celebrate their unique love and the joining of their cultures & communities. I believe that everyone deserves to have beautiful pictures of themselves, especially on their wedding day. If my work resonates with you, then you're also one of us -- las otras -- and I want to meet you, too.
Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
I'm based in Los Angeles and I love to travel for weddings. The travel fee is simple: cheap flight & cheap lodging. Yes, I'm fine with sleeping on your aunt's couch.
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
I'm a documentary photographer, which means that I focus on real, unstaged moments. My photos recreate real life as you experience it, with the colors and light reflecting your true emotions. Although I usually focus on natural light and capturing the actual environment, I know my way around flash and can shoot in just about any condition.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
My wedding coverage ranges from $2250-4800. I offer an all-inclusive documentary package that is $4800 for the day, and I also have a la carte rates for smaller weddings for $450-550 per hour.
