My name's Karen. I'm a full time professional wedding photographer & I truly care about my couples. My focus is on capturing the connections and relationships between people; playfulness, fun, a cheeky glance between two people that love each other. My photography fits around a wedding day and is mainly natural documentary coverage, with a few creative, natural feeling portraits that show personality as well as elements of your wedding day. I love really embracing the weather and light and making it a creative feature.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm located in Manchester, UK. I charge travel expenses for weddings outside of the north west of England.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I established my business in 2005, and since then have photographed over 400 weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style is an eclectic mix of natural, unobtrusive documentary coverage & creative portraits that capture the personality of my couples. I love using the weather to creative effect, whether that's a beautiful low winter sun or a downpour.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

I want to tell the whole story! I tend to rock up early, spend time shooting details and getting to know the bridal party. I shoot the first dance and then stay to shoot the party in full swing, usually until around 10pm.

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

I work from home so tend to meet couples in cafes, quiet country pubs or their own home. For couples further away, I use Google hangouts which is similar to Skype.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I've completed an SNC & HND (foundation degree) in photography. I'm a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers) and an Associate member of the British Professional Photographers Association.
