My name is Kat and I'm happy to see you here! I'm a wedding and elopement photographer from Reykjavik. In love with natural light, I don't buy any presets and each photoshoot is treated individually. This is why you will never see two identical photoshoots in my gallery.
Years before I became weddig and elopement photographer in Iceland I used to be an amatour photo model. Enough to say I'm far from fashion standards. For 8 years I was learning how to act in front of the camera. How to look the best I can and how to feel comfortable on the photoshoot. Now, as a wedding or elopement photographer, I can direct you during the posing, I know how weird it might feel. And this means - you've guessed it - amazing photos!
I often use the silent mode on my camera, which means, you will not hear the CLICK sound. This gives you maximum intimacy during the ceremony or helps you relax, if being photographed stresses you. You won't even know when I took all those amazing photos!
I'm based in Reykjavik and I do not charge for the photoshoots in the city, but I do travel around the country and in this case I charge for fuel and driving time. It's always calculated exactly for location of your choice, so you never pay more than needed!
I mix posed photos with candid frames, so each photoshoot is unique, just like each wedding is special. I love incorporating negative space if possible as well as using props, such as flovers, glass, blinky objects and shoot through them to add a little bit of crazyness to the photo. My motto is: there are no stupid ideas!

I do not owe my own studio yet, however, I am happy to meet you in any place in Reykjavik and chat with you over a coffee. I also use Skype and WhatsApp if this is what you prefer.
