I believe in the power of candid moments. That what is unscripted makes for the most powerful images and strongest memories. To look at an image and think "I remember when" is such an important thing, and I don't take the job lightly. While taking a beat to pose and take a nice shot might be great for Grandma, getting a picture of you being your silly old self is even better for your future generations. Let's show em what you were like back in the day ;-)
Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
I am located in Burlington, VT, and include travel anywhere in the New England area
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
I love capturing real, honest moments that captures my couples as they truly are. I do this by finding beautiful, natural light, and allowing my people to be their true selves in front of my camera. I also guide my couples through this because there is nothing natural about posing in front of a camera
Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?
I love all the video chats! Otherwise let's meet for a drink if you're local
What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?
I'm constantly looking to improve my work! I read photography books like a fiend and attend all the workshops I can handle.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
Above all else, the reason I do this is to connect with people I never would have met otherwise. Not only does this lead to more beautiful and real images, but it makes me feel so fulfilled to be doing this work.
