As a documentary photographer, it's all about letting things unfold naturally, to capture the images that really matter: the real stuff, the good stuff. While you, your family and friends are immersed in the celebration of the day, I'll set about to capture the magic as it unfolds before me, with great lighting, composition, timing, and a super stealthy and fast shooting style. It’s a lot of fun, but the best part for me is delivering great work to you. :-)

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm based in the Boulder Colorado area, and service several states, so I do charge travel fees depending on the circumstances.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've got 20+ years experience as a primary photographer

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

very reactionary and fast, I'd say, more "hands off", very little posing, stealthy...

The best pictures show you who people are and their relationships with their loved ones...and the way to get there is a stealthy, fast, invisible shooting style, where people are mostly unaware they're being photographed. Combine that with great lighting, composition and timing, and voilà! Repeat repeat repeat throughout the day. That's it!, in a nutshell. Then add to that masterful editing, and things are starting to look really really good...

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

A typical coverage would be Me as your photographer (no assistant), 6 hours of coverage, Online Gallery, high-res files, and a 12x12 archival handmade album with 40 images (more available)…for 2300.00.

A typical 2 photographer coverage would be: 2 photographers, 8 hours, Online Gallery, high-res files, (same album)…$4200

I like keeping things really simple, so every package includes the high-res files for you to archive or print as you wish. Beyond that, I offer handmade fully archival albums, where every image is finely tuned to perfection, utilizing either traditional silver halide prints, or pigment-based giclée printing on fine art watercolor paper. Gorgeous books, true heirloom pieces to hand down through the generations. I also offer standard prints, matting and framing, etc…

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

Being a wedding specialist and serving several states, I'm more mobile and less tied to a studio. But I'm happy to come to you, or there's always Skype, FaceTime...

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

...nothing like that...
I'm self taught with 20+ years experience. The technical basics of photography are really pretty simple. The real education comes in the form of experience, developing a shooting style, the automaticity, the muscle memory, in being able to handle the many technical challenges of a wedding quickly and easily. It's all about walking into any situation and being able to walk out with great work, consistently, every time. That's the game, and I love it!

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

You'll love the job I do for you. No doubt about it.
:-)
