Contact Kendra Coupland

I am a heart-centered, eco-conscious, creative documentary photographer based out of Vancouver, BC, and I photograph weddings and stories about love all around the world.
I believe in the divine power of love. I believe that love transforms the human spirit. Love has the power to transform anger into compassion, hurt into forgiveness, suffering into peace, longing into gratitude, and loneliness into companionship. If there is one thing worth celebrating in life, it is without a doubt, love.
When I am not documenting love I teach yoga and meditation to marginalized communities and spend time in my vegetable garden.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

Our studio is located in New Westminster, BC. Travel is included from West Vancouver to Abbotsford. Travel charges apply to weddings outside of this district.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

We have been photographing weddings full time since 2009, and have shot well over 150 weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

We take an organic approach to photography, which we like to call "Creative Documentary" while most of what we photograph is candid and uninstructed we also like to collaborate with our clients to create creative environmental portraits.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Full Day coverage (8 hours with two photographers) and all digital files would be $4120 + tax.
Our most popular package is $4135 and includes six hours of coverage
with two photographers, an engagement session, 200 digital files and a signature wedding album.

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

Our studio is located at 205 - 810 Quayside Drive in New Westminster.
Due to the nature of our work we are not always in studio, so an appointment is required. For out of town clients and destination weddings we are happy to meet via skype.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

Kendra studied both journalism, and photography at Langara College back in 2006, and worked as a journalist and photojournalist from 2006-2008 before moving on to weddings full time.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

We believe artists should be able to create without being harsh on the environment. For that reason we offer a line of beautiful archival quality cotton rag giclée prints, printed with plant based inks, with hand torn edges, framed in gorgeous eco-friendly reclaimed wood frames. We can't wait to show them to you.
