One bride said, "(Randy's) presence is soft and unobtrusive, fast and precise. His eye is kind and intelligent; a dynamic documentary style, elegant portraits, symbolic details, moody landscapes and fluid compositions. I didn't want just memories, I wanted art."

Randy creates memories, timeless images documenting candid moments often elusive on wedding days. He has been featured at the Vorpal Gallery in San Francisco, Photo District News (PDN) and San Francisco Magazine among other publications.

Randy studied anthropology and ethnographic filmmaking at Cal, an endeavor that helped to build his attentive style. An important thing about being a successful wedding photographer is the ability to put people at ease and to have them be comfortable with the process and experience. Years in the wine industry and restaurant world, helped to make him a good listener, a patient observer, a "people person."

As a hobby, Randy has often documented internationally renowned musicians such as Michael Hedges, John Fahey, Will Ackerman and many others. His extensive collection of videos can be seen on YouTube. Randy, his partner/wife Joyce Perlman, and basenji Tucker, divide their time between San Francisco and the coastal community of Mendocino, California. Together they have shot more than 500 weddings.
