My Name is Daan and I'm a wedding photographer. I love doing this! I enjoy working with people and especially on a wedding day, love, fun and all spontaneous and unexpected sometimes crazy moments. I am honored to be able to photograph that in my own creative and respectful way. My goal is always to go beyond expectations. And never stop learning!

I'm (still :-)) a young, creative and dedicated wedding photographer. I'm a full-time wedding photographer since 2013 and covered nearly 300 weddings as the main photographer.

My aim is to tell your story and I try to do so by focussing on moments and emotions. In order to accomplish that, my approach is best described as journalistic or documentary. I love being able to be creative and make beautiful photos and I think that pairs well with the basics of my approach: no forced and unnatural posing, but focussing on moments and emotions to capture the beauty of the day and the beauty of your love.

My philosophy is that the pictures of the wedding are not only nice to get a few months after the wedding, but that they will get more and more importance and meaning over the years to come. When people pass, or new generations grow up - I hope that's where my photos really get meaning.

I combine documentary styled wedding photography with creative out-of-the-box posed images. Couples book me because they want their wedding photographed beautifully in the way it actually was, but at the same time also want a few of those images that really stand out due because they are truly unique.

Living both in the Nederlands (Breda) and Italy (Bassano del Grappa) has made my life and work a lot more energetic. I thrive on photographing different cultures and it's amazing to see two different cultures come together on a wedding. It is very special for me to be able to experience the love between you and your friends / family up close. Each family has their own habits and shared memories, which makes every wedding unique and challenging for me. Storytelling, real and humor are three terms that stick with me.

My goal is to have every picture take you back to that special day. Photographing those special moments that make a wedding day unforgettable, is by far the best job in the world!

Telling stories has always been a big part of my life. It's the love for books during my childhood, the storytelling during my job as communication professional. As some people where surprised when I took a giant leap of faith and quit my job to start my own photography business, for me it made more than sense. I was still telling stories. But instead of writing them down, I am now creating images to tell them.

My wedding photography is all about unique stories of people who celebrate the most beautiful thing in the world: love. I see it as my most important task to capture the identity of my wedding couple and translate that into my images. I do this in a fun and spontaneous way, Keeping it relaxed during the shoot and be like one of the guests during the day. Focused on the moments of my couple and their friends and family, I am making sure that they will receive images that will bring them right back into that specific moment, even after 40 years.

My passion is capturing big moments in someones life. Your wedding day is one of the most beautiful days in your life. I would love to tell your story through my pictures. I have an eye for capturing emotions and details in a journalistic way. My wedding couples all say that they see themselves, just the way they are, when they look at my pictures. That is the biggest compliment for me.
