I’m a documentary-style wedding photographer focusing mostly on the real unscripted moments of your wedding day, recording them in timeless elegant photographs. I love the little looks from proud parents, the anticipation and happy tears, the ‘trying to hold it together’ moments, the howling with laughter, the kids going off script and the little ordinary moments of family life I'm privileged to record around the big moments of the wedding.

A former corporate lawyer, who made the leap into a dream job, I'm now a very happy wedding photographer, wife and partner in all things (including our documentary wedding photography conference Doc Day) to fellow photographer Kevin Kheffache, mother to our two wonderful boys, a lover of beauty, art, books, movies and all forms of storytelling and a romantic soul obsessed with all of the ordinary little moments or love, family and friendship that make all of our lives extraordinary.

I understand how life moves fast and have an appreciation for capturing moments and people. I'm a fairly hardcore "photojournalist" meaning that I love the unstaged, natural moments that happen at weddings but I also am driven to be creative and I do like to take some time at every wedding to do something different and (hopefully) special.

Marriage is about love, family and relationships so I look to convey that narrative throughout all my images. A fresh and positive approach that requires minimum effort from you and have developed a style that doesn't interfere with the flow of things on the day.

I react to moments and look for real emotions rather than setting them up and having them feel awkward or cheesy. Shooting this way helps me gain your families trust so I can focus on the things that really matter.

I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based in Donegal in the northwest of Ireland, but travelling anywhere and everywhere to photograph people in love!

My photography style is natural and relaxed with a focus on both documenting real moments and creative portraiture.

Phil's varied style stems from over 10 years of wedding photography as he slips seamlessly between photo journalistic and editorial style photography. From contemporary to traditional. From cheesy to classic. He will work with you to capture any photos that you have in mind. Most of the time though, couples are confident in letting Phil capture and/or direct the day as he sees it and you'll be guaranteed a few laughs throughout the shoot. I'm a wedding photographer for couples who hate having their photo taken but want photos of their guests having the craic and enjoying their big day. I'm very relaxed and laid back. I'll tell the real story of a wedding day and make your day go as smoothly as possible. I love a strong portrait but most of the day I shoot documentary as much as possible. If I'm really honest, a wedding day isn't just about the couple. There are so many small stories going on that make up the true meaning of the day.

Your day is for enjoying it with your loved ones, it's not a posed photoshoot.

I'll be there, mingling with the guests, making friends, dancing and having the criac along with you, all the while capturing your day as it unfolds, so you can remember not only how it looked, but how it felt!

Of course, formal family portraits and couples portraits are super important, but I'll make sure to get them done as quickly as possible so you can be present on your big day!
