I love wedding photography, and enjoy nothing more than getting in the thick of the action to capture the atmosphere of the day. I capture the whole day creatively and am always pushing myself to be my best, anticipating moments so that I can shoot the day naturally with minimal posing.

I'm Adam of ARJ Photography, based in Manchester England. In my photography I strive first and foremost to capture the emotional, energy-filled, iconic moments of people's lives during their wedding days with my signature use of colour and light to make creative, artistic collections of photos. With a full-spirited, deep-hearted unswerving dedication to my clients and their lives, that's how magic happens.

I have had a camera for 30 years and I still can't explain why I love it so much. It's not a question I ever want to answer. The spark in all of my photography is people. It's about capturing those moments in human relationships where we connect and collide. Good photography will always find those moments. As people we all need to explore, live and feel. Let's do that together on your wedding day.

I have no formulaic approach; it's about a chemistry between you and I. It should be beautiful, simple and be 'you'. The wedding photos that you and I will love have not been born yet, and that prospect excites me more than anything else in my professional world.

It's about people and personalities; it's about family, friends and telling your story. No matter how grand or intimate the setting, how small or large the party, it is about connecting with the people around you and a shared love which transcends even the photography. These are the moments we strive to find and immortalise, and all these moments start with people.

Tell me about your wedding and that's where we start.

I see people, i love capturing real emotions, raw moments, tears and laughter. My aim is to capture all real moments. I also love light and creating amazing portraits is my guilty pleasure.

At your wedding you will mostly find me acutely placed within your guests capturing their natural emotions and actions. Let's be honest, there's only so many times you can say cheese, sausages or smelly socks. Every single wedding is so very different.

I want YOU to look at YOUR images and remember exactly how you felt marrying your best friend, how nervous you felt before you walked down the aisle, how many tissues your mum used, how many times you nearly fell of your chair during the speeches and how much fun your friends had throwing kick ass shapes on the dance floor.

What do I like about wedding photography? The emotion, the history, the splendour, two lives and how they choose to express themselves in all one day, wrapped up in some epic imagery.

How is this expressed in my wedding photography, a knowing look frozen in time, reflections, textures, patterns, geometry, gorgeous landscapes with gorgeous couples and anything just a little bit off the wall....

I'm a documentary wedding photographer predominantly covering Manchester and the North West of England, but I'm happy to travel worldwide if required.

My style is based on observation rather than orchestration. I thrive off the emotions on show during a wedding, I take honest photographs with life and energy, I love photographing people interacting, capturing real and un-self conscious moments.

I won't interrupt you, ask you to pose unnaturally or ask you to do anything just for the sake of the camera. I'll ensure you stay relaxed and enjoy your day spending quality time with your family and friends - just as it should be.

I'm an optimist. I prefer to focus on what's good in the world rather than what's bad. I've traveled our planet and I really don't think the world is such a terrible place, I've met many more inspirational people than I have bad people; my positive outlook on life is at the very heart of my style of photography. I'm looking for happiness in my images, your happiness, the happiness of your family and friends.

Away from photography I'm a pretty simple guy really - I enjoy sport, music, art, history and travel.
