Marci Curtis is a Metro Detroit wedding photojournalist known for fun, unobtrusive, candid photography telling real stories. With 15 years of "Best of Weddings" awards and over 1,000 weddings documented, Marci brings a calm, easygoing presence helping couples, even camera shy ones, relax and enjoy being photographed for photos that feel natural and timeless.

As a photojournalist, Marci documents weddings as they unfold, capturing genuine connection and moments you didn’t even realize were happening. She specializes in intimate, non-traditional weddings and proudly supports LGBTQ+ couples. Clients receive full access and printing rights to their images. I was born to be a photographer! I specialize in gorgeous wedding portraiture, but really any woman in a beautiful dress in lovely light makes me happy. What I love about capturing weddings is really the atmosphere that comes from not just the bride and groom, but also their families and loved ones. You can watch a lifetime of memories and emotion in one day, and every second I capture from them instantly becomes memories they will revisit years from now. Long after they have forgotten who I was, their memories will live on. It's wonderful knowing that I can have such a profound touch on lives that I might never even meet...all from just using what I see in my head happening in front of me!

A marriage is the most intimate of human relationships and a wedding is a celebration of each couple's unique bond. They deserve photographs that are as unique as they. We want to celebrate with brides and grooms and memorialize the way they cherish each other and those around them.

I am an internationally award-winning ex-photojournalist with 32 years of experience and have spent my life documenting and telling stories through photography. To me, photography is thrilling, electric even. An image may be a millisecond of history, but with the right composition in the right moment, a photograph has the ability to capture a recollection clearly in your mind's eye, expanding to other memories and reliving the experience. The beauty of photography for me means artfully crafting and preserving the moments you want to remember forever, and helping you create the stories you want to share.
