I am an internationally award-winning ex-photojournalist with 32 years of experience and have spent my life documenting and telling stories through photography. To me, photography is thrilling, electric even. An image may be a millisecond of history, but with the right composition in the right moment, a photograph has the ability to capture a recollection clearly in your mind's eye, expanding to other memories and reliving the experience. The beauty of photography for me means artfully crafting and preserving the moments you want to remember forever, and helping you create the stories you want to share.

I am based in Grand Rapids, MI but also serve the greater Denver, CO Metro area. I am available for destination weddings and photo sessions all over the world! I am a proud LGBTQ+ Owned Business

I was born to be a photographer! I specialize in gorgeous wedding portraiture, but really any woman in a beautiful dress in lovely light makes me happy. What I love about capturing weddings is really the atmosphere that comes from not just the bride and groom, but also their families and loved ones. You can watch a lifetime of memories and emotion in one day, and every second I capture from them instantly becomes memories they will revisit years from now. Long after they have forgotten who I was, their memories will live on. It's wonderful knowing that I can have such a profound touch on lives that I might never even meet...all from just using what I see in my head happening in front of me!

A marriage is the most intimate of human relationships and a wedding is a celebration of each couple's unique bond. They deserve photographs that are as unique as they. We want to celebrate with brides and grooms and memorialize the way they cherish each other and those around them.

I've been a photojournalist for 25 years and have happily covered over 1,300 weddings during my career. I love what I do and am thankful I attract couples looking for storytelling about the reality of their wedding day. The day is always full of fun surprises and the behind the scenes antics always make each wedding day unique. I also love my cloak of invisibility. Often brides will be standing two feet away and be asking, "Have you seen Marci?". Being invisible lets me glide in and out of storylines all day long creating that full picture of one single, happy day.

My husband Adam and I are high school sweethearts. When we got married in 2009, I booked our wedding photographer entirely through emails (YIKES)! I was planning an Ann Arbor wedding while living in Costa Rica - and video calls were not the norm that they are today. The experience was not a good one and our memories are not preserved the way I envisioned or expected. When I look at our wedding photos, I see way too many posed photos and a couple who is uncomfortable because we didn't know our photographer. We didn't even get the album that was supposed to be included in our package! I can't tell you how much I wish we had had a different wedding photography experience.

When I decided that I wanted to become a wedding photographer, I knew that my couples had to have an experience that would leave them feeling valued, loved, and served from our first meeting to well beyond their wedding day. I wanted to provide an experience that I wish I could go back and have.

A long struggle with severe depression and anxiety caused me to see the world, especially love and happiness, in a much, much different light. Thankfully, that has defined what I do: I get to document the tears, the laughter, the love, and every other beautiful emotion a wedding day brings, and everything in between. I tell stories through my lens and watch two people take one of the most incredible steps together to begin their life's greatest adventure. And I don't know about you, but I love a good adventure.

Hi, I'm Andrea, elopement, wedding and couples photographer based in the beautiful state of Michigan, traveling everywhere to document stories of love. I specialize in intimate, natural photography for free-spirited couples in Michigan and all over the world. I'm married and currently reside in the Upper Peninsula, near Houghton, MI on the Keweenaw Peninsula. I have two kids, two dogs, and three cats. I love hiking, authentic Mexican food, and craft beers.

I am an observer; the calm and laid back presence in any given situation. That in itself lends greatly to wedding photography. After 16 years and 350+ weddings, I've learned that natural and candid moments are the best! Weddings are not just about posed photos of the bride and groom, they're about how the bride and groom naturally interact with one another and with their family and guests as well. Those moments are SUPER important.

I consider myself a Narrative Wedding Photographer. That means my goal is to create images that tell the story of your day exactly how it happened. Your photos won't be an assembly lined output of the generic wedding day. They also won't feel moody and serious when you were sharing a beautifully happy and joyous moment. The end photos should feel how your day and the moment captured actually felt; that is my ultimate goal!
