I'm located in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area. I was raised overseas in Europe and can easily travel wherever your wedding is taking place. Yes, there are extra fees, but let me know what your doing and where you're going and I can let you know. I love to travel and experience new places.
I've been a professional photographer since graduating from U of M and I starting at my local newspaper before moving to the Associated Press. I've been photographing weddings full time since 2000 and covered over 1,300 weddings. Weddings are my happy place. They keep me creative, on my toes and full of joy.
I'm a photojournalist by training and instinct. I know, I know... EVERYBODY'S a documentary photog now, but really and truly, I do have the street credentials that go along with the title. More importantly, I've learned to create portraits that are unique, on the fly and superbly lit... something that sets me apart from most photographers.
About 90% of the weddings I photograph need 8 hours of coverage. The pricing has nothing to do with the size of the wedding, the location or how many guests you have. I LOVE the behind the scenes moments that lead up to a wedding. I love the nerves, the joy, the winding down. It takes 8 hours in most cases (sometimes 10) to hit the highlights. I don't like belaboring the day, but I do like to really give my slant of the day. I charge $2,900 for the 8 hour package. That gives you full printing and usage rights as well. I want you to use these photos a LOT!
I do have a studio, but I usually connect with clients by phone, FaceTime or Zoom. If you're up for going for a short hike, I'd love for you to join me.
I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University and have made my living as a full time professional photographer ever since. Recently? I'm ALWAYS trying new things, fine tuning, etc. It's fun to set new goals and expectations for myself every wedding.
I love what I do. I'm an inquisitive, happy bugger who gets to witness couple's biggest and finest party and public event of their lives. I love that they lose track of me very quickly. I love that I can tell a story that most couples had no idea I'd documented until they see their photos. I love that my couples are oh, so very appreciative. They love photography, they love art, and they love that I've got their back. They aren't price shopping for a wedding photographer, they're looking for someone relaxed and fun who will tell their happy, sappy, wonderful story in a truthful, romantic way.

What you won't be able to see is how great Marci is to work with in every other way. She's Read More thoroughly professional, punctual, and quick to respond to any questions you might have in the weeks leading up to your event. She's also so knowledgeable about weddings that she can act in some ways as an unofficial wedding planner, reminding you (or informing you for the first time) of a dozen things you can do to make your event go more smoothly so that you're more free to enjoy yourself on the day. She had terrific advice for us, ranging from how to wrangle relatives for photos to how to choose the kind of makeup that looks best under the lights.
And to top all of this off, she's delightfully friendly and easygoing. Just having Marci in your corner is going to allow you to enjoy yourself more and focus on the most important parts of the day.
