My full name is Ray Anthony Iavasile, and I accept commissions to artistically photograph "documentary wedding stories" across the country and beyond. I have showroom locations in Southern California and Michigan.

For each commission, I will personally create a collection of work which documents the unfolding of the wedding day as it naturally happens; and, will provide you with emotional imagery of the couple, their families and friends.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am located in Birmingham, Michigan and photograph weddings all over Metro Detroit as well as the entire state of Michigan. I do charge for travel expenses for events more than 2 hours from Detroit.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

Since 2002, but have photographed weddings since 1992. I have photographed approximately 500 weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I am mostly documentary or photojournalism. Some people call this style “reportage.” We will always do portraits upon request.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Unlimited coverage on the day of the wedding, with an apprentice/assistant and an associate photographer for $5000. Price includes a flash drive of the photos and an engagement session.

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

We have a showroom in Birmingham, Michigan but also can Skype for out of state inquiries.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I earned a BA Degree in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1988. I am a multi award winning photographer from the Wedding Photojournalists Associate.
