Contact Joseph Franciosa

Originally from NYC, I now live in Germany. I'm excited to photograph in Europe and capture weddings in new landscapes and locations. I'm used to the fast paced environment while still looking for the quiet moments between couples, the connection and tenderness. That's what I live for, to capture those indelible moments. It doesn't matter what country you are in, you want to capture that spark that comes alive in these important events.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

Heidelberg, Germany. May charge travel fee depending on location.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

Photographer for 10 years, photographed about a dozen weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I think a wedding photographer should blend in and not intrude on the event. They capture the moments as they unfold. I like to find the quiet moments between families as well as the important momentous events. I like to familiarize myself with the venue and my clients wishes so I'm best prepared to capture every important shot. The event is all about the couple getting married and shouldn't be about the photos.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Full day will usually cost around €1200. 120- 200 photos with 60 retouched. Files can be delivered by Wetransfer or dropbox or flash drive. Prints also available.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

No studio in Germany right now, I absolutely love to SKYPE and meet any prospective clients

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I've been photographing in NYC for over 10 years for Contemporary dance companies and theaters. Photographing dance means you always have to be on your toes ready to catch that split second moment. You also have to have fast efficient equipment. I studied Studio Art in college and in NYC worked in studios as a Production manager focused on Composition which prepared me for my career in photography.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

Fluent in English. I like to meet my clients and discuss what their vision is for their eventful day. I'm pretty low key and easy going. With preparation and research I try to convey a sense of confidence that everything will work out smoothly and effortlessly.
