I’m Darío Ortega, a wedding photographer based in Granada. I’m drawn to real, unscripted moments and the kind of emotion you can’t pose. My approach is calm and observant, letting the day unfold naturally while I focus on the small details and the big feelings that make each story unique. I photograph weddings in a warm, honest and cinematic way, always aiming to create images that stay with you long after the day is over.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I’m based in Granada, in the south of Spain, but I photograph weddings worldwide. I love travelling for stories and letting each place shape the way your day is captured. For celebrations outside my region, travel expenses apply, always communicated clearly from the very beginning.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I’ve been photographing weddings professionally for almost ten years. In that time, I’ve documented more than 120 weddings as the main photographer, each one teaching me something new about people, emotion and storytelling. Every wedding has helped shape the way I see and capture a day.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style is a mix of documentary and cinematic storytelling. I focus on real moments, honest emotion and the quiet details that often go unnoticed. I work with calm intuition, letting the day unfold naturally while I look for light, movement and connection. The result is warm, emotional and timeless images that feel true to who you are.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My most popular wedding coverage includes full-day photography, from the preparations to the late-night moments. I aim to tell the complete story of the day in a natural, unobtrusive way. Every couple receives a carefully curated gallery that reflects the real emotions, energy and atmosphere of their wedding. I also offer customised options depending on the needs of each celebration and the destination.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

Yes, I have a studio where we can meet in person. It’s a comfortable, quiet space where we can talk through your plans, look at albums and get to know each other. If you’re planning from abroad, I’m also available for video calls so we can connect easily wherever you are.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I’m a self-taught photographer with a strong foundation built through years of real wedding experience and ongoing education. I’ve trained through workshops and mentorships with leading photographers whose work has shaped my documentary and cinematic approach. I’m part of several international photography communities, and I invest in personal projects every year to keep refining my eye and evolving creatively. For me, growth never stops — every wedding, workshop and personal project pushes me to become a better storyteller.
