Mi presento, sono Michele Melis, fotografo di matrimoni. Per me la fotografia di matrimonio non è semplicemente documentare un evento. È catturare l'atmosfera, la tensione, la bellezza e le emozioni di un giorno che non accadrà mai più. Affronto ogni matrimonio con uno sguardo documentaristico e una sensibilità editoriale. Cerco momenti autentici: una risata spontanea, uno sguardo silenzioso, un abbraccio pieno di emozione. Sono questi frammenti di verità che trasformano una fotografia in memoria. Ho un carattere deciso, ma sempre attento, delicato e pronto alle esigenze degli sposi. Credo che un fotografo di matrimonio debba saper guidare quando serve, ma anche fare un passo indietro, osservare e custodire la naturalezza della giornata. Creatività, sensibilità artistica e dinamismo sono parte essenziale del mio modo di lavorare. Luce, composizione e tempismo sono elementi fondamentali della mia fotografia. Il mio obiettivo è creare immagini naturali ma potenti, eleganti ma autentiche. Non voglio soltanto mostrare ciò che è accaduto, ma conservare anche ciò che si è provato. Ogni coppia ha una storia, un ritmo e un'energia unici. Il mio ruolo come fotografo è trasformare questa unicità in immagini senza tempo. Perché quando la musica finisce e quel giorno diventa ricordo, le fotografie restano.
Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
I am based in Sardinia, but I photograph weddings throughout Italy and abroad. For weddings outside my main area, any travel fees are always discussed clearly and tailored according to the destination.
How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?
I work as a wedding photographer with a professional and personal approach, following each event as the main photographer. Every wedding is carefully managed, from preparation to final delivery, with the aim of telling the day in an authentic, elegant and complete way.
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
My style is natural, emotional and editorial. I love telling the story of a wedding without forcing moments, looking for real emotions, beautiful light, elegant details and images with atmosphere. My goal is to combine spontaneity and refinement, creating an authentic yet carefully crafted story.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
The photographic coverage is customized according to the couple’s needs. It usually includes the main moments of the day: preparation, ceremony, couple portraits, reception, details and spontaneous moments. Prices vary depending on the duration of the service, travel requirements and any additional options requested.
Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?
It is possible to meet in person by appointment, or arrange a video call to get to know the couple better, understand their needs and create the most suitable service for their wedding.
What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?
My background comes from practical experience and continuous study of photography, composition, light and visual storytelling. I constantly update my work by following editorial trends, international wedding photography and new post-production techniques.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
For me, photographing a wedding means preserving an important part of a family’s story. I always try to work with discretion, sensitivity and attention, creating images that are not only beautiful, but able to bring real emotions back to life even many years later.
