I often describe my style as romantic storytelling. As a photographer who specializes in weddings, I try to connect with my couples in a way that helps them feel at ease in front of the camera. This allows them to relax and enjoy the day, moment by moment. From this point, I am able to capture the emotion and natural expressions as they happen. Yet, I also stress the importance of photographing a family together in a more formal way. I feel these types of images last far beyond the wedding and document who we are, and who your family is, at a specific second in time.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

My studio is based in Moultonborough, NH, on the northern side of Lake Winnipesaukee. I do not charge a travel fee though any wedding located outside of my travel radius, though this does require booking my "Destination Wedding" package.

I will be traveling to Maui, Hawaii from Dec. 2019 – Feb. 2020 and available there during that time.
Please contact me directly for more information.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I have been in business full-time for 4 years now. During this time, I have photographed well over 100 weddings as the main photographer.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I describe my style of wedding photography as "romantic storytelling". I like to capture moments as they happen with little prompting, though I also always love to capture the best possible photographs in a more formal sense as well. I feel this kind of documentation of friends and family is equally as important as candid or emotional photographs.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

The Traditional: $5,375 – To tell the complete story of your day, Cate and her team (including a 2nd photographer and an assistant) will be available to you all day. This means pre-ceremony images starting as early as you will allow us and Cate will finish her night only after you wave your final goodbye.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

My studio space is located in Moultonborough, NH and is open by appointment only. I am always available for phone, FaceTime and video chat consults for those not able to visit in-person.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

Cate graduated in 2006 with an Associate of Science in Professional Photography from McIntosh College.

In 2015, Cate spent 9 weeks in Missoula, Montana at Rocky Mountain School of Photography and completed the Professional Intensive Certificate and the Advanced Intensive Certificate program. These courses covered all aspects of photography, from weddings to fashion to commercial and more.

Creative and intensive, week-long photography workshops have been a constant presence in Cate's educational background and are planned into the future. These workshops encompass a variety of subjects like landscape techniques, wedding-specific intensives, and commercial/stock photography. She has attended The Maine Media Workshops in Camden, Maine and several at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in places like Missoula and Kalispell, Montana and Yellowstone National Park.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I am passionate about New Hampshire and I really enjoy working with couples who share a love for the beauty of my home state. Many of my clients talk of their memories of visiting the mountains or lakes with their families as children and their wish to maintain this legacy into adulthood with their partner. I cannot get enough of these stories! Your connection to New Hampshire is the same I feel when I look out my window every day and is 100% the reason I choose to work and live here. I cannot wait to hear about your connection and share with you some of the most amazing locations and venues for your photos.

Not sure what all the fuss is about? Reach out and I will gladly share it with you!
