Martin Ellard is a South Wales documentary wedding photographer based in Swansea.
With over twelve years of experience working as a photojournalist across the UK, I began photographing weddings in 2007.
I use a candid, documentary approach that creates story telling images across the whole wedding day. For couples who would love to see how their guests enjoyed the wedding day as much as they did.
Your wedding isn't a photoshoot, my only expectation of my couples is that they are truly themselves and get to experience and love every second of their day.
Although most of the day is candid, I still include family photos and some time for portraits, which is focussed around the couple spending some quality time together, no posing, just genuine moments.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
Based in Swansea, South Wales, but also cover areas like Pembrokeshire, Cardiff, Bristol, The Cotswolds and beyond.
How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?
I have been photographing weddings since 2007.
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
I work in a candid, documentary style. On digital and 35mm film.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
The most popular collection I offer is a full day of 12 hours. I also offer elopement and twighlight collections.
Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?
I don't have a studio, but I love a coffee and I feel it's important to meet in person if possible before the wedding day. Spending time getting to know each other a little will help couples feel more relaxed on their day.
