While pursuing a degree in Fine Arts and Education, I decided to take a travel course to New Mexico to fulfill my photography class requirement. I primarily drew and painted, but while wandering the streets of Santa Fe with an old Pentax Spotmatic I fell in love with the art of film. After several years being a "hobby photographer" I decided to start a business in 2014, mostly to make money so I could travel and volunteer with my students in Guatemala. (I am also a teacher). From there my business slowly grew year by year, and I continue to learn as much as I can and grow my craft. I am primarily a wedding and family photographer but also love equine and senior photography as well. My style is true to color and vibrant, and my favorite images are those full of real and raw emotion.
Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
I am based out of Rhode Island and travel throughout New England and beyond! Travel fees apply for out of state weddings requiring an overnight stay. Fee will cover cost of flight and lodging.
How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?
I have been in business for 12 years and photographed over 80 weddings
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
The photographs I love to capture are genuine, emotive and preserve your feelings in that moment. Bright and true to color images retain the emotions and essence of the day.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
The most popular package is 8 hours and $4600. It includes a second photographer, and engagement session, and a $400 print credit. All packages are customizable.
Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?
I am happy to meet in person at a local cafe or coffee shop, or meet over video all a well.
What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?
I have a degree in Fine Art, with a strong background in drawing and painting and a focus in photography. I studied photography in Florence, Italy and have continued to take classes, attend conferences, and gain certifications. I am a member of PPA and Fearless Photographers, and most recently this year was an ambassador for Lens and Light Photography Summit.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
In addition to my fine arts background, I also have degrees in elementary and special education. This experience helps me build strong relationships with clients and families, and also helps me managing timelines and large groups on your wedding day!
