I am a fine art photographer for the adventurous and the romantic, I am based in Glasgow in Scotland.
I have been described as an 'artistic' photographer by others and this probably sums up my work quite well. I have been lucky enough to shoot weddings all over the place, from the UK to as far as Thailand. From sparkler shots set in castle ruins, dancing in fairy-lit barns, vows under chandeliers hanging from trees in gardens, reception meals under the stars on the beach, taken group shots on the edge of famous lochs with snow peaked mountains for backdrops, watched owls deliver rings in Scottish castles I have been privilege to some of the most amazing weddings.

I've been telling stories all my life. Written, spoken and photographed. Telling people's stories is what I'm passionate about. I specialise in weddings because I want to catch the magic that's right there waiting to be seen. It's hard to think of another time in people's lives where such strong emotions can be seen from you, your friends and family all in one place. It's a day that's as unique as you are and that's what excites me. I see weddings as the end of one adventure and simultaneously the beginning of a new one, and like a photograph, a wedding is a blip in time between one reality and the next. I get to be there to capture it; the energy from two people committing themselves to each other forever...

After photographing more than 300 weddings it's fair to say we've learned a few things. As photographers, we love the big, epic sunsets. And of course, we're always chasing the light and looking for a genuine connection with our couples. But it's the candid pictures, the fleeting moments, that we capture. Those are the things that really connect. We specialise in being able to see the things our couples want to remember.

Bound By Light is the name of the photography company that I run. I came up with the name while sitting in the highlands in the middle of the night photographing the stars. contemplating the traveling path of photons and how sometimes they come from different galaxies and how their journey stops in the sensor of my camera... I you might have guested I am a bit of a dork!
I have massive passion for people, nature and the outdoors. That is why I really consider myself lucky to be a wedding photographer as it combines all IO find exciting about life into one filled day! I love finding lesser explored areas that are peaceful and sometimes very pretty!

I specialise in authentic and relaxed wedding photography without without the awkward bits.
I like to get stuck in - I’ll chat to your guests and family and this makes everyone feel at ease. That’s how we capture all the best bits of the day, with those genuine emotions and reactions.
During the couple shoot, you’ll already feel super relaxed and comfortable. We won’t do any awkward or unnatural posing. We will have a laugh!
Whether it's a big Scottish wedding, or something smaller and more intimate, I'd love to be part of it. I only accept a limited number of weddings each year and this means I put all my heart and soul into each and every one.

Leaving home in New Zealand back in 2006 was my first taste of photography. I left to travel the world and fell in love with the patterns, shapes and emotions everywhere I went. I loved the challenge of capturing those moments in time for all to see.
I started by photographing travel, landscapes and animals but quickly fell in love with the beauty and vibrancy that I found in photographing people. I was drawn to wedding photography as it is natural and candid. People watching with a purpose. I can observe from a distance, then capture real life, instead of scripted life. I like to focus on all the happiness of a wedding day. When I photograph I am drawn to all the emotions; I want my finished wedding album to represent this. You'll find that the majority of my photos to be of people smiling, laughing and occasionally happy crying.
I have stayed with wedding photography as it involves everything that motivates me. Meeting new people, a predictable workload and I can truly be creative. It still challenges me and keeps me on my toes. I'm constantly pushing myself to get the best images for my clients.

For me, wedding photography is such a personal service. An intimate and emotion-filled day full of love happiness and magic. Getting to know your photographer on a personal level is just as important as selecting your wedding dress. You wouldn't just say "oh that dress looks nice". You have to feel it, connect with it, and know that it's right. It's important to get to know you me, you are going to spend most of your day with your photographer.
My style is all about capturing the natural flow of your day, allowing time for all those lovely relaxed, candid shots. As a creative wedding photographer, if you book me, it's because you want your wedding photographs to be a little bit different. I use photographs to document and tell the story of your day. I will turn up, blend in and capture all the beautiful little emotive and happy moments that will put smiles on your faces. I always find that the best wedding photos are about how the image makes you feel, the story the picture tells.
If you think I could be the right guy to document your wedding whilst creating art for you then I would love for you to be a part of my life's adventure! Get in touch and let's discuss your wedding plans.

If you LOVE photography but don't want your wedding day to be all about a posed photoshoot, you're in the right place!
I'm Ashley, an award winning documentary wedding photographer based in Scotland and I like to keep things simple.
It's all about story telling with pictures. Building up a narrative of the greatest day in your life. Weaving together the real moments and the real emotions so you can open your album in the years ahead and that raw emotion will come flooding back to you.
20 years as a photojournalist working for The Times, The Independent, The Guardian to name a few, has given me the perfect training to be your wedding photographer.
My background covering the news has given me the skills to anticipate the unexpected, take advantage of the best light and handle things calmly when they don't go to plan. After all, drama and emotion are the essence of every wedding!
I work quietly and calmly to photograph your wedding the way it really happened. The big moments and the little gems you didn't even notice which you'll be able to share with your children and your children's children.

Born and brought up in Bangalore, I moved to Glasgow after marrying the love of my life. Inspired by my life motto, 'make a life, not a living', I travel to shoot around the world.
My journey as a wedding photographer has taken me to the most surreal venues from Rajasthan all the way down to Kerala, from Mombassa, Kenya to the heart of Virginia, USA. I've witnessed beautiful moments in small marriage halls, as well as grand palaces. But, regardless of venue, it's the people that I've come to cherish. I've made some fans out of clients, some believers out of Thomas' and mostly friends for life. I truly believe being part of someone's big day is a special thing.
Thank you for considering me.

I love wedding photography. Every single bit of it. I am all about taking pictures with feeling. That means portraits and candid images of people doing special things. I'm not excited by taking pictures of squirrels or mountains... I do try... but I live for the rush of capturing the moment. A picture that will be looked at, cried at, seize up throats and have people hold hands a little tighter. For lifetimes.
I started my career in events as a musician. I have been blessed to witness over 1000 weddings in the past 17 years. I live and breathe weddings, it sounds horrendously cheesy but I am at my very best when surrounded by people full of nerves, excitement, hope and happiness and of course love. I find taking great pictures to be the most rewarding thing I have ever done - when I'm not chasing my little girls around!

Hi guys, I'm Mike...based in Falkirk, Scotland, but happy to travel pretty much anywhere to shoot your amazing day.
My philosophy is, and always has been, that it's your wedding day, not a photo-shoot. I'm always looking for "those" moments...you know the ones, the ones that you don't usually see but when you look back at them, they sum up your wedding day entirely...real moments...not fake.
Of course, I always still make time for a small selection of family group shots and a relaxed, informal, "anything goes" even, bride & groom shoot...but I'm not into lots of cheesy grinning at the camera!
Your pictures should tell the story of your day...and I'd love to tell yours.
