I was born and grew up along the coast of Peru. I am a photographer who first fell in love with street photography in Latin America. After traveling throughout Asia and North America I decided to expand my horizons to include portraits and wedding photography.

When I started as a street photographer I understood that life was much more beautiful in those simple day to day moments, that real emotions always outshine any pose in front of a camera. Wedding photography, for me, is another path that led me to the same place where I first fell in love with photography. A wedding is a place and time when emotions are almost palpable, where emotions can't be faked, and is the perfect place for my camera and me.

It all started with a girl named Tyler, then grew to become a family-owned business that includes her husband and his brother too! Spending our days behind the camera is our joy, creating images of anything from weddings to commercials to the everyday. We live to photograph real moments, love in all forms, and adventures big and small (especially ones that involve a bit of travel). Most importantly, we believe in family and the power of capturing that connection is truly our heart.

Jo is a Staunton Virginia based wedding and portrait photographer who loves getting to know couples and showcasing their "you-ness" through photography. She finds joy in successfully creating unique wedding galleries that couples truly enjoy looking at. In 2022, she co-founded Virginia Creative Collective studio in downtown Staunton where she teaches and encourages new photographers and rents her space to other creatives. Fostering creative community is one of her favorite things about her photography career so far.

I know how awkward it can be, being in front of a camera (especially if you’ve never hired a professional photographer before) whether it’s for your wedding portraits or a couples session, I’ve got you covered!

My photography technique is what you’d called “Plandid” or “Prompt based candids”. This means that my style is focused on helping give you some directions so you feel comfortable in front of my camera while I document your genuine moments.

When I don’t have a camera in my hand, I’m participating in wildlife research!

I grew up in the Upstate of SC and have absolutely loved my time exploring the many beautiful State and National Parks in the Eastern USA.
My speciality is finding gorgeous locations on the Blue Ridge Parkway from NC to VA, Appalachian Trail (GA to ME), and Smokey Mountains.
