Most of all, we want you to be able look back at your wedding photos and be reminded of what that day felt like. We combine medium format FILM, which we feel has a timeless quality, with 35mm digital to capture those fleeting moments. Thanks for your time and consideration.

I always feel honored when chosen to document a couple's wedding day. Everyone's wedding is different and unique. My job is to capture the uniqueness and specialness of your day. I never arrive with preconceived ideas about what and how I am going to shoot a wedding. In the most unobtrusive way I work to capture momentary images around me. Very little direction. Very little flash. I encourage my couples to stay focused on each other during the day, not me, and we'll get killer, fearless shots. I charge only $100/hour within 150 miles of Albuquerque, NM or Denver, CO.

I have been fortunate to win numerous International wedding photography awards and have photographed 500+ weddings. Prior to my wedding photography I was a news and sports photojournalist.

I have a deep passion for photography as well as creatively catching those moments in between to be cherished forever. In every session or situation that I am in with my camera, I am always looking for the most visually compelling vantage point or unique way to capture the scene. My compositions elevate the event and form lasting memories. I translate this passion into every photograph I take on your wedding day.

Extended Play Photography is a husband and wife team that specializes in authentic documentary wedding photography. We believe that wedding photography should tell a story, that planning should be simple and enjoyable, and that we do our best work when we have a connection with the bride and groom. We make sure to capture the beauty of the day, the small but important moments, the love between you, your partner, and your friends, and also that time your groomsman "fell asleep" in the women's bathroom. We just love weddings, people, and beautiful photography.

Katie and I together are Shutterfreek. We are a super hybrid couple, both fluent with photo+video. We shoot photo and video simultaneously at weddings, just the 2 of us and would like to think we pull off productions that what would normally take a team of shooters. We also like to dabble in medium format film.

Although our deep tones, moody light, and candid style is a bit of "the trend" these days, there's really no one quite like us in the area. We've been referred to as the Chip & Joanna of the Wedding Industry lol, however we do not have a farm. We do however have 3 kids, a bearded dragon and a golden doodle named millie. That's kind of a farm I guess. ;)

I would say that any level of success we've achieved has been do more to our personalities than anything. I like to break dance and pop. It's not uncommon for me to bust out a windmill at receptions if the party needs jumpstarting. LOL! Katie doesn't breakdance, but she's freekin hot! LOL! And she's just super cool. She instantly becomes each Brides best friend. We try hard not to get distracted with signing autographs and taking selfies with guest at events and just try to focus on the work. I'M KIDDING!! We just love to have a blast shooting LOVE! It's what we were meant to do!
