Wedding photojournalism is a natural extension of what I've done for one of the top newspapers in the country. I blend. Document. Search for moments. Every day.

I've worked as a photojournalist for 15 years including ten years for the Chicago Tribune. My goal is to search for and capture moments that go beyond the posed portrait to show not only how you look, but what you feel.

Your life is full of moments... it's my job to document them.

I am a photojournalist with over 12 years experience (200+ weddings), and now I nearly exclusively work on weddings because I love the work and my clients. It is an honor and privilege to memorialize the events of a couple's most important day.

I am a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in English literature, but have been working in journalism since my freshman year on the copy desk at the Daily Northwestern. By sophomore year, I took to photography, and a new passion was born, leading me to work with Agence-France Presse in Chicago during my college years and as chief photographer at the Budapest Business Journal in Hungary immediately after graduation. I made Budapest my home from 1998-2003 before returning to the US in late fall '03 to pursue wedding photojournalism.

My journalism work has appeared in many major publications (New York Times, Business Week, Chicago Tribune, Maxim, Car and Driver, etc.), and I have won several awards for my wedding photography from the Wedding Photojournalism Association, including placing in the Top 20 for 2007 Photographer of the Year.

We're trying to make our photos not just a simple "stop-motion" of a certain moment, but in some way, a magic travel in time. Only one glimpse on the photo will be enough to make all feelings, emotions, sounds and even smells of your memorable life come alive.

I believe that the best moments and the best photos happen when people are relaxed and having fun. I want to capture all the fun and excitement of your wedding day with vibrant, timeless images, but at the heart of my photography is the love, joy and emotion that makes your wedding day your own. Using my fine art background and my love for photojournalism, I'll tell your one-of-a-kind wedding story with imaginative vision and unforgettable expression.

I'm a Chicago based international Wedding Photographer that's devoted to telling the stories of the weddings that I document. I believe in the power of photography for art and for history. This is my life's work and I take immense pride in creating imagery that is as emotionally significant as it is visually compelling.

Over the past 20 years as a photojournalist, I've been privileged to have the opportunity to be invited into incredible peoples lives and to tell their stories. From a mother's first embrace with her newborn child to a stroke victim taking his first steps during recovery, or a community honoring one of its own fallen soldiers, finding moments that make you smile, bring a tear to your eye, or move one to action has always been at the heart of my work.

It's these experiences as a photojournalist that are the foundation of my philosophy to tell the story of your wedding day. Your story will be not only be about what happened during your special day, but also how you felt throughout, capturing real, powerful moments that will last a lifetime.
