I specialise in documentary wedding photography and work alongside my husband for our studio The Mateers. We photograph weddings all over the UK and abroad. I absolutely love my job: from meeting clients, to shooting weddings, to the editing. I love weddings that are full of fun, romance, emotion - and unexpected moments that no one can plan for.

We love the outdoors. We love natural images. We love smiles. We love real emotion. We love taking stunning photographs of our couples utilising the best locations your wedding venue offers - and sometimes the surrounding area too. We love that every wedding is unique and our images will show your wedding as it really happened - there's no template for our images, every wedding is different and we look to show that. AUTHENTIC, NATURAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY & CREATIVE STORYTELLING

My wedding photography style is primarily documentary which means natural and unobtrusive. I'm not interested in posing people and I won't ask for fake grins! I have a very hands-off approach to capturing the unique moments, fun and emotion of a wedding day.

I'll also offer some gentle direction in a very natural way for a few creative, high-impact wedding portraits, incorporating beautiful light, colour and scenery. I'm a Yorkshire based wedding photographer who loves the scenery in this area and will happily incorporate rugged sweeping moorlands and dramatic Yorkshire views into my wedding photography.

I'm a big animal lover thanks to my German Shepherd and fluffy rescue cat. I watch too many Netflix series at once and I can't help buying house plants when I see them.

My style is mostly documentary with a huge focus on storytelling, which allows you to relive your wedding day through your photos. I also love to do something a bit more creative now and again!

My approach to photographing a wedding is really relaxed. I'm mostly unobtrusive, but I do like to get involved, chat to your guests, have fun and get stuck right in on the dance floor! I pride myself on being as discreet as I can, whilst still capturing shots that put you right back in the moment.
