Hey there! I’m Andrea Brandt, an elopement photographer and planner based in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. With over a decade of experience (and a deep love for the outdoors), I specialize in creating unique, intimate wedding experiences that let you truly savor each moment. I'm married and currently reside in the Upper Peninsula, near Houghton, MI on the Keweenaw Peninsula. I have two kids, two dogs, and three cats. I love hiking, authentic Mexican food, and craft beers.

I’m all about relationships, memories, and the magic in everyday moments. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me foraging wild mushrooms, diving into mystical books, or exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula with my furry friend Walter the Whippet. Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm located on the Keweenaw Peninsula, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula , and all travel fees are included, so you don't have to worry about a thing! I travel virtually anywhere in the world.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've been in business since 2011, and I've photographed over 180 weddings by myself.

My style of wedding photography is all about capturing the magic and emotion of your special day in a natural, stress-free way. I focus on documenting genuine moments, beautiful landscapes, and the unique connection between you and your partner. With an emphasis on the stunning outdoors of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, I aim to create images that are not just photos, but memories infused with the energy and vibe of your love story. What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My wedding coverage packages start at $4,000 and can go up to $8,000 and beyond, all customizable to fit your unique vision. Each package includes full elopement planning assistance, recommendations for the best locations, expert advice and guidance, and stress-free photo coverage. I focus on creative storytelling photos that capture the magic of your day.

I specialize in intimate, nature-centric elopements in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. For other locations, I offer all-inclusive rates for elopements and sessions worldwide.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

My husband and I eloped in Arizona, stayed a week, then came home and had a backyard reception. It was amazing- we did what we wanted, and avoided all the stress of putting on a big traditional wedding. Our ceremony was incredible- it was just us, the officiant, and the photographer. We were surrounded by epic views of nature, and it felt like the universe was there to witness our union. I wasn't worried about having to stand up in front of a hundred guests, so I was able to relax and be in the moment. It was incredible.

I'm passionate about telling couples to do what feels right for you when it comes to your wedding! You don't have to follow the rules! Andrea was such a joy to work with! Our wedding date was 10/10/2020. We had a fairly large wedding and reception planned, but had to cancel everything just three weeks before due to COVID. We knew we still wanted to elope, but we had no idea what to do. We contacted Andrea, and she completely saved the day! She helped us find a new, beautiful location, and helped rearrange our timeline and schedule for the day. She even signed our marriage license after we lost our officiant, and couldn't find a replacement in time - she's ordained!
