I was born on the eve of the Carnation Revolution in Lisbon, Portugal.
Photography - like music - has been an integral part of my life since adolescence and an essential form of expression about who I am and how I see the world.
I started photographing families in 2013, in an evolutionary process born from my love of recording moments and people and visually recreating their unique stories. The documentary aspect also quickly became a hallmark of this type of work. Between weddings, baptisms, birthdays, or simple portrait sessions, the mark of a visual documentarian has always remained indelible.
Between exhibitions and books, in addition to my current work with families and musicians, the idea for a distinct photographic project with families was born in 2022. A work that is defined above all by documentary recording, but also by expanding space and time in such a way as to allow a genuine connection with the family I photograph, to create Memories from Moments: MEMENTO.
