I am newer to the world of photography. Ive photographed professionally on film and digital for the last 2 years. Recently pivoting in the last 6 months to more of a documentary approach. I document weddings as well but to me those are just HUGE extended family sessions!
I think coming from a "broken" family (being a child of divorce) I am drawn to to this idea of connection within the family unit. I love capturing the seemingly "mundane" adventures of everyday family life. My sessions are often based around an actively families routinely participate in.
