Brian F. Henry
I am located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. I charge for mileage and accommodations when traveling more than 100 miles from the city.
I have been a professional wedding photographer for 10 years and have photographed over 75 weddings.
I photograph weddings as a documentary storyteller who shoots the day as it naturally unfolds with little to no direction directed towards the couple. I focus on the moments, emotion and raw energy of the wedding day. I aim to tell a visual story with emphasis on the portrayal of how it felt to be present at your event.
My packages start at 2,800.
We can meet at our studio, a coffee shop or over the internet via Skype to chat about your wedding and the role photography will play in it.
I earned a BFA in Applied Media Arts with a concentration in Documentary Photography from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2003. I also attended the SALT Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, ME, in 2004. I worked professionally as a full-time photojournalist for the Tribune-Review for 10 years before committing myself full-time to my wedding photography business.
Some of my most notable achievements include being recognized for my work as a photojournalist by the "POYi" (Pictures of the Year International) and the National Press Photographers "Best of Photojournalism" competitions.
I also earned 2 EMMY nominations both in 2014 and 2015 for my documentary film work.
I have been published in major markets by the New York Times, LA Times, Boston Globe, USA Today, and MSNBC.
I am also grateful that my wedding photography has been internationally recognized by the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association).
