Each wedding is unique. It's true that they share similar timelines on paper, but every set of wedding vows or first dances I've ever photographed comes with a different story behind them. My goal on your wedding day is to create artistic images as a photojournalist, whether that's by capturing the stories that are out in the open, or behind the scenes, I enjoy it all. At the end of the day it's really your story and I just want to capture it in the best light possible.

I specialize in candid photography. For a number of years I worked as a staff photographer for several newspapers and loved capturing the moments of everyday life. That being said, I've also developed my portrait skills over the years and try to set aside one block of time at each wedding to capture some creative portraits. When your wedding is taking place I make sure to stay out of your way so that your story can unfold without any distractions and when it's time for the portrait session I'll jump in and take control of the scene to get everything done in a timely manner with the most creative shots possible.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm based in Fresno, California. I don't charge any additional travel fees for weddings within the Central Valley, however a.small travel fee may be applied for weddings outside the area.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've been considered a "professional" photographer since 2002 when I started working as a photojournalist for a local newspaper. Since then I have worked as a photojournalist in Florida, Nevada and California while shooting weddings on the side since 2005. I don't have an exact number of weddings I've photographed since that time, but it's probably somewhere around 100 weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I love to keep things simple and just document the day. Each couple's story and wedding day are unique and I try my best to capture the authenticity of each wedding. Aside from the journalist side of things, I also stress to clients that it is also important to set aside one time of the day for creative portraits, because when it's all said and done, usually a photo from that session will be the one that is hanging on the wall in the living room.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

I always provide clients with the original images from the shoot. Nothing is downsized or watermarked, so they'll have access to all the wedding photos from the day. Prices range based on the variety of package options that I offer, but I try to work with everyone's budget to get them the best photo coverage possible.

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

I have a home office, and I'm also find it convenient to meet at a local coffee shop to go over package options. Skype and FaceTime calls are also options for clients who are from out of town.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I have a BA in Studio Art from Fresno State, and I've won several international photo awards for my work as a university photographer. I've also had my photos run worldwide for the sports photography I do, which includes having my photos run on the cover of two separate Sports Illustrated issues.
