Art has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember, starting with crayons and moving through acrylics and oils. That experience of creation, looking at light, seeing tone and judging composition prepared me for photography. And it continues to allow me to grow. My photographic education began at the Rochester Institute of Technology and included time abroad studying fashion photography in Prague and London, which really shaped my photographic style. My work has been defined as natural, elegant, and romantic with a feel of blending the old with the new, creating something fresh yet timeless. The colors are crisp and the tones feel real, true to the day they were taken. I look to create images that truly emphasize your connection and energy by concentrating on the emotion of a moment, the movement, laughter, the feeling of the space, and the joy of the people around you.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am based in Northern Connecticut and also work in Boston, The Berkshires, Vermont, New York and throughout New England regularly. I am available to travel with fees based on the location.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I have been a professional photographer since 2008 and have been photographing weddings since 2010. I have been able to photograph well over a hundred weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style is a combination of documentation and editorial direction based on the moment and part of the day. There will be times on your wedding day where I'll give some direction, like during portraits, to help direct you into comfortable, easy poses with your family and your wedding party. I'll help create situations where you and your partner can interact naturally with each other in front of the lens. So that you'll feel comfortable and create photos that are true to who you are.

At other times, I'll mainly be documenting moments with a more photojournalistic approach. I'll be catching the action and emotion as it all unfolds.. the hugs, tears, belly laughs, crazy dance moves, dress twirls, and quiet looks. You probably won't even realize you are being photographed at all!

Do you have a studio where we can meet? Do you use Skype?

I do have a consultation space for in person meetings. I can also meet with you through Skype if it's more convenient or if my dog (a large, four year old goldendoodle) is an issue in any way.
